Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Terry later moved to Vancouver where he enrolled in broadcasting school.His radio career would take him to small stations in BC such as; Salmon Arm, Revelstoke and CKGR Golden. These remote areas and small towns where not only great for building experience, they offered a great place to hide from his student loan payments.Terry's next stop was Country 800 Moose Jaw where he got the chance to meet many country signing sensations such as: Tanya Tucker, Billy Ray Cyrus, Pam Tillis and some guy named 'Garth'. In the fall of 1996, while working the Afternoon Drive at SUN FM, he learned that a makeshift comedy club across town called Dave's Comedy Saloon, was in need of someone to host weekends.
